Spanish: We started to discuss Pronouns as part of our Spanish Grammar Lesson. 

Homework: Write the chart in your notebook 5x each. Label and make sure it is neat. 

PRONOUNS AND PREPOSITIONS

Subject Pronouns:

The subject of a verb is of first, second, or third person, singular or plural.

1) The speaker is called the first person

2) The one addressed is the second person

3) The one spoken of is the third person

  • Usted and Ustedes are called the polite form of you and is the one commonly used, and corresponds to the ordinary English you. It may be abbreviated Ud. or Uds.
  • and Vosotros(-as) are called the familiar form of you, and is used in the family, among intimate friends, or when speaking to children, servants and animals and is used in poetry, prayer, and the Bible.
