Hello 7th Grade Families!

Today, in both classes, we talked about point of view and how when we refer to it we are talking about who

Today we discussed point of view. We wrote down some notes and made an anchor chart as well. Our discussion was centered around the idea of "point-of-view" and how it focuses on who is telling the story. I asked both groups if they ever read the story of The Three Little Pigs and as expected THEY HAD! We went on to discuss how if the point-of-view changes from one person to the other it may affect the plot of the story. We also took notes to differentiate between the protagonist and the antagonist. After doing all of this I read both groups The True Story of the 3 Little Pigs by Jon Scieszka. In this tale the wolf is the protagonist and the little pigs are the antagonists. Both groups really enjoyed the lesson and what their new assignment is for the next few days. We collaborated and wrote the names of well known fairy tales. Then both groups had the opportunity to pick one fairy tale that they will write the alternate for making the original protagonist the antagonist.

Best,
Mrs. Baier
